Hahaha, you guys are a lazy bunch la. Don't you know how much the ntu people misses the nus and smu peeps? Everytime we do something, we talk about you guys. '
how is so and so doing huh! long time never hear from her already leh! think they forget all about us already la!' You get the drift. Alright, alright school names aside(I prefer to call us team njc), I do hope that everyone is coping well in uni, because I'm definitely not.
I hate uni life.
Hahah, okay it aint that bad just that it aint that fantastic either. Misses NJ a lot. Especially during lecture, michelle's prescene is missed. The engineering fac has so many guys, who only know how to make insensitive comments during lecture, '
eh wah lau let's go and Q for the pan wei bo thingy leh! he very shuai leh! I wanna see'. Tell me how to concentrate when I can hear them better than my mumbling lecturer?
Lessons and complaining aside. Hall has been so far so good! When I read about shumin's entry about the tea tradition thingy in Raffles Hall I was damn jealous. Let me tell you why:
1. Why their hall name so nice, called Raffles. Ours is call what, HALL FOUR. Totally uncool and not nice at all. They call it Hall Hougang I also happy lo! What hall four hall five hall six etc. Bah.
2. I like tea, why our hall never gives us tea?!
%^#&^@*^$3. I like tradition!!!!!!!!! Why we arent told of any tradition? Actually have la, unsaid tradition which is the hall looks TRADITIONALLY OLD that's all.
4. Boohoo! Their hall sounds more happening than ours! Ours like not fun, got unfriendly neighbours.
So because of those reasons, I was quite sad about my dear hall four. Then the four of us just keep blaming peishan because we never go the orientation because of her. Hahaha. Then came the turning point:
BLOCK SUPPER!When the funny guy came and knocked on our doors, he informed us about the block supper. So we decided that instead of sitting in our rooms and whining about our sad hall life, we shall be enthu for once and join the block supper! So we set aside that eventful 16 Aug for the block supper.
We were super on about it! We even arrived early that day. Most freshies in our block came. Most are guys. Most of the girls are scholars... Okay you get the idea la. A bit weird but we pressed on. peishan showed off her greatly-improved chinese and chatted merrily with the scholars while the rest of us were more interested in the food.
After food, I think we gathered to talk about something which I forgot is what. I think its about the inter wing games next week.By then the scholars had already went back to their rooms(maybe to study I dunno). So only left a few girls.. We chose the block rep and the four of us refused to run for the block comm despite the seniors persuasion. So far still nothing interesting, I felt sleepy.
Then they told us to go back and changed into a not so nice shirt because something exciting is going to take place. We did as told(forced to cause they came up to check on us,
'We know which room you stay hor!'). It was supposed to be our block initiation. And it got VERY dirty(and oily) as promised.
This was what the initiation was about. We were blindfolded and led into the laudry room one by one. The room has this channel/drain area where the dirty water was suppose to go. They filled it up with EVEN MORE DIRTY WATER and threw in things like chairs, sticks, mud and everything disgusting. We are suppose to crawl through the channel with them splashing water on us, pouring ketchup, seasme oil and chili sauce on us. And the end we are suppose to put our hands in a pail of guppies.

But four of us went through it. Peishan enjoyed it the most la. She was the last among us and we were watching her as she complete the course. She was beaming throughout the thingy(I think she cant believe she actually did that). It was really dirty and oily! And at the end they shouted a very loud
WELCOME TO BLOCK 27 to us. It was really lame but i secretly thought that we enjoyed ourselves a little despite the complaints. Hahaha.
I was complaining to peishan why Raffles hall initiation get to drink nice tea ours we drink dirty water! Evil seniors ah... But at the end of the block dinner, we got signed up for the inter wing games and a round island supper game on monday! Wah... enthu or not :P
A short update on hows the ntu people coming along in ntu:
ME: Made zero new friends but met a lot of cedar good friends. So quite alright. I hate my biomolecular course and I'll definitely need a lot of help!
LP: Made ALOT of new friends. Eye shadow being one of them. Very happening everyday. Also mixes up canteen A and B(which are like two opposite ends!). Psychology lecture is her favourite lecture and I wonder why....
Chit: Enjoying being my roommate. WAHHAHAHAHAHA.
Ps: Enjoying being my neighbour. (: No la jk, ps is studying hard! She made new norway and french boyfriends... *jealous*
